Soil Compaction Study at Lakewood Ranch. Sarasota Bay Estuary Program has contracted with University of Florida to study the new and old development practices to determine soil compaction effects on run-off and plant establishment. Lakewood Ranch residence have volunteered their property to participate in the study and will receive a free soil analysis for participating.
